Cleanup

Over time, WordPress adds a lot of small extras: tags in the page header, widgets in the dashboard, CSS classes in menus, and leftover data in the database. Most of these exist for historical reasons or edge cases. On a typical site, many of them just add clutter.

The Cleanup tab in Falcon helps you remove what you do not need. It is split into four areas so you can tidy the public page header, the admin screens, the front end markup, and the database - without hunting through dozens of unrelated settings.

Sub-sections

  • Header - remove unused tags from the page <head>
  • Admin - simplify the WordPress admin interface
  • Frontend - trim front-end extras that add markup or assets
  • Database - clear leftover data that builds up over time
